The Art movement swept through Italy and most of Europe during the 1970s and 80s, bringing with it  more abstract-style art, including figuration and mysticism. He studied art at the Liceo Artistico of Benevento in Benevento, Italy. In 1980, his work was shown in the Venice Biennale for its Transavantgarde-specific exhibition as well as two solo exhibitions in New York. In the past decade, he has received attention for his equine works and collaborations with other artists. His art has been exhibited worldwide, included exhibits and collections in the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C. and the Tate Modern in London. He lives and works in Rome, Italy.
